About Christina Allameh, AMFT
My name is Christina Allameh, AMFT # 111339 and I graduated with a master’s degree in clinical psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family therapy from the Chicago Professional School of Psychology. I have been working the field for the last four years.
I believe through hard work and introspection we can discover our purpose. It was through this journey I found my calling. I have a passion for psychology, mindfulness, self-awareness, personal development, goal achievement, and life balance. As a therapist, I have worked with families, children, adolescents, individuals on the autism spectrum, adults, and couples. I have successfully
treated issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, crisis management, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, and divorce. Helping to improve the lives of others is a lifelong process. This belief empowers me to continually hone my skills, expand my abilities, and keep up with the latest forms of treatment.
I use a variety of treatment modalities including but not limited to; Cognitive-Behavioral Theory, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis. I believe that there is no single solution for everyone; because of this, I aim to identify the underlining issues facing each client and base the modality of treatment on the client's diagnosis, personality, and individual needs.
So often, our pasts can interfere with our lives in the present and we can find ourselves suffering through the same ongoing pain. Through personal exploration and counseling, a deeper understanding can be attained, and the sense of self can be strengthened. A psychodynamic approach can go below the surface to address difficult emotional problems, improve personal relationships, and stop self-destructive patterns of behavior.
